These are the most common techniques used to create new Favorites folders.
Create New Favorites Folder Profiles for Different Users
If you need to create a new favorites folder for another user who shares your computer, it's best to create a separate user account for the other user. This keeps all of your favorites (and documents and other personal settings) separate. To do this, sign in as the administrator and go to Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Manage Another Account > Create a New Account. Follow the prompts to create a new account. This will create a user profile along with all of the default folders including a new Favorites folder. When your new user logs in, all of that user's personal favorites will be stored in the new Favorites folder.
Create New Favorites Folder Subfolders
Internet Explorer allows users to create new Favorites folder subfolders, which are useful in keeping your favorite websites neatly organized. For example, if you have several interests including work, photography, writing, and football, you can store your favorite sites in subfolders designated for those categories. Here's how:
• Find a site you want to add to your Favorites folder in Internet Explorer.
• Click the Add to Favorites icon and select "Add to Favorites." Give the site a descriptive name (if it doesn't already have one) and click New Folder.
• Give your folder a descriptive name such as Photography and click Add.
Once you have a new subfolder in Favorites, you can add new sites to the subfolder. When clicking "Add to Favorites," click the drop-down arrow next to "Create in" and choose the appropriate folder.
You can also create new Favorites folders subfolders for each subfolder. For example, your Photography folder could have separate folders for commercial photography, aviation photography, and wildlife photography. How far you take it is up to you.
